What music do you listen to?

This is a fun question because i listen to SO much genres i can't really go one by one however im gonna talk about the genres i listen to/love the most and others. So the main genres i listen to are goth/post-punk, metal (mostly nu-metal), new wave, new romantic, darkwave, industrial metal, glam rock, synthpop and yeah, kpop, guys what do u want me to say, it slaps. I listen to some jazz and punk and blues and rap and other stuff but like my moto is "if i like it i'll listen to it", so there's like so much i don't even know what genre it is, i just like it you know.

What are your favourite band/artists?

I could list them by genre but that would make me too much of a crazy music person so imma just randomly name them.
Korn, Slipknot, Deftones, System of a down (nu-metal rulz), Placebo, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Queen, Wham!, Talking Heads, The Cramps, Judas Priest, Murderdolls, Motionless In White, Against Me!, The Cure. I listen to a lot more bands but idk if i can call them my favourites.

Now, you may be wondering (or not) what kpop groups i like and im just gonna tell y'all some of them since i don't follow them balls deep like i use to and the kpop community is very like fast and has SO MUCH content like everyday, pretty hard to follow at all times tbh,
without further ado...first of all, A.C.E is the group
that got me into kpop
bc i was very judgemental
abt it before and thought all the music sounded
the same UNTIL i heard cactus by a.c.e OH MY
LIFE CHANGED, anyways, my holy trinity: Block
B, Winner and IKON, they're truly my beloveds.
Then we have the more popular groups: Ateez,
Stray Kids, NCT, OnlyOneOf, Victon (disbanded,
rip victon, i love u guys). I actually listen to a lot of solo artists, rappers and rnb singers but i don't wanna ramble abt it, you can check out my playlists if u wanna know more.

So where did this whole music nerd thing started happening?

Well, i said before that metal music found me when i most needed it, it was when i was 11/12 years old, i had been listening to pop music and just what everyone around me liked, i didn't really know that there was more to this than "radio" music, not to say pop isn't good music, i still listen to lady gaga like so much, but it has a different place in my heart than metal.
Anyways, i was having a hard time with my classmates bullying me and also just being aware of my existence ig, but if u guys allow me to be real #emo here. I, for the first time ever, felt understood and like what i was going through wasn't just teen exageration, which at the time that was all i heard and i believed it but i went on to get worst regarding my mental health but we are not talking abt that now.

Since i fell so in love with metal i went to read about metal history and started expanding so much of my taste in music, had a classic rock phase, had a glam rock phase (glam rock i love u), full on 70s obsessed and i didn't even mention my love for horror musicals dude omg, im a gay stereotype sometimes...

At like 17 i got into kpop and had a real fun time there, it also got to me when i was having a hard time, actually my rock bottom if u will.
Thanks to getting into it i got to meet great people that are still my best friends till this day. Not to mention how much GREAT artists are in the industry DUDES, if u have never gave an opportunity to kpop i really think you should, there's so much interesting stuff and mindblowing talent out there. Eventually i got lost with kpop tho because, like i said, there is an INSANE ammount of things to consume: videos, pictures, interviews like EVERY day and it can be very fun but also very tiring, still love kpop tho, just out of the loop really.

The point is, im always falling in love and re-descovering bands and artists that are amazing and mean so much to me, either because their music was there when i needed it or because what they have to say just gets to me one way or another, i feel music so deeply that i really wanted to make a whole section for it, hope some of you actually read all this, thank you anyways!
